Dear UWOSA Members:
UWOSA’s Executive has, pursuant to the UWOSA Constitution, declared a vacancy in the office of Chief Steward of the Association.
As per section 5.4 of the UWOSA Constitution, the Steward’s Council will appoint a member of the Association to serve out the remainder of the current term for the Chief Steward (to April 30, 2026).
Please see the info below and Article 7.5 of the UWOSA Constitution for a description of the duties performed by the Chief Steward. If you would like to self-nominate for the role, please email a brief biography and a statement of interest outlining your qualifications (maximum 200 words) to info@uwosa.ca by 4:00 pm on Friday, May 30, 2025, to be submitted to Steward’s Council for their consideration.
Applicants will be notified by the President with the date they are expected to attend a Stewards Council meeting to deliver a brief (5 minute) presentation. After all presentations, a vote will be held by Stewards Council members to elect the next Chief Steward.
