UWOSA Temporary Back-fill: Vice President

Members,

At present time, John Critchley our President is on an extended medical leave, and Meg Perinpanayagam will assume the role of President until the end of this term, thus vacating her position of Vice President.

Thus, UWOSA is currently looking to temporarily backfill the Executive Officer position of Vice President in accordance with our Constitution and Bylaws, Article 7.0 Officers of the Association, subset 11(b) must be enacted for the betterment of the union. Article 7.11(b) reads:

The temporary assignment will end upon the return of the elected Officer and/or the start of a new electoral year, whichever is sooner. However, the elected Officer's title shall reside with the individual temporarily assigned to the role and such person shall act with the full authority prescribed in this article.

The Vice President position is open to all members of UWOSA in good standing. Responsibilities of the Vice President are outlined in our Constitution and Bylaws, section 7.0, Officers of the Association.

If you would like to apply for the role, please email a brief bio (maximum of 200 words) to info@uwosa.ca by November 10, 2017 to be submitted to Stewards Council.
