Solidarity Rally - Friday, September 28th

Dear UWOSA members,

The provincial government’s Bill 115 violates the right of workers to meaningful collective bargaining. This is a constitutional right that you and I have as citizens of Canada. It is important to stand up for the civil liberties that make this the best country in the world in which to live.

In addition to this attack on the collective bargaining rights of elementary and secondary school workers, the provincial government has told public sector workers to negotiate a two-year pay freeze or it would be done for them (see http://www.lfpress.com/2012/09/26/opseu-ready-to-fight-over-wage-freeze-...).

We cannot stand by and watch our rights be eroded. Please join me tomorrow, Friday September 28th at a Solidarity Rally to stand up for collective bargaining rights.

The Rally will begin at 4:00 pm at Deb Matthews’ MPP Office at 242 Piccadilly Street (southeast corner of Oxford and Richmond).

I hope to see you there,

John Critchley
UWOSA President
