This is a brief bulletin and is primarily about the new seniority list, which is now posted.
As always, I invite comments, suggestions, or concerns about any issue. Feel free to contact me by email or phone (x85041) at any time.
Seniority List
A new seniority list, complete to June 1, 2009, has now been posted in the Member Area. It is very important that each member check the information listed to ensure that it is accurate. If you believe that your entry may be incorrect, please contact the office by June 30, 2009.
To access the list, you will require your UWOSA (not UWO) username and password. If you do not have an account (or have problems logging in) please contact Mary Hay by email or at extension 85089.
Lockout at Kellogg Canada
Many of you are undoubtedly aware that members of the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union (BCTGM) Local 154-G have been locked out by Kellogg Canada. I have expressed our support to 154-G, and encourage you to do so by sounding your horn if you pass the picket lines (or even spending some time on the picket line, if you can). More information about the lockout can be found on the BCTGM 154-G website.
ITUC Report
Finally, the International Trade Union Confederation has just published its annual report on the violation of trade union rights. It is a sobering read, for those interested.
